What is Jesus Calling us to be and do?
Happy Easter (season)! Our question this season is, "As a community and individuals, how do we live into the realities of the resurrection, knowing we serve a God who defeated death, rose to live, and now empowers us? If nothing was in our way, how would we fully live into what Jesus is calling us to be and do?"
With this in mind, we are going to do something a little different this Sunday at Mosaic. I gave the church homework last week, to daydream and consider HOW and WHERE we are being called to initiate in our community. Is there a cause or issue that we feel led to put our energy towards (refugees, immigrants, college students, the unhoused, etc.). I'm curious if the Holy Spirit is laying on our hearts common promptings. So this Sunday we are going to go through an activity of listening, moving around the room, and sharing. The hope is to see if God is putting common thoughts and hopes in our individual minds, and then to organize ourselves around these promptings. It is letting mission help organize how we serve as a church.
So, be praying about these things, and come ready to listen and share with each other.
