I am surprised and astonished that you are so quickly turning renegade and deserting Him. Galations 1:6

O you poor, silly, thoughtless, unreflective, and senseless Galatians! Who has fascinated you, bewitched you, or cast a spell over you—you before whose very eyes Jesus Christ, the Messiah, was openly and vividly portrayed as crucified? Galations 3:1

I do love me an Amplified Version; it makes clear exactly what Paul wanted to write—plus a little more.

The book of Galatians can feel far removed from us as Gentile Christians in the 21st century, but it is there for a reason. This coming Sunday, I will give you an overview of the book—its intent and its history. A glimpse of why this letter still speaks to us, even though it wasn’t written directly to us.

I will set the table, so Aaron can serve the feast in the coming months as we listen to the good news of the gospel—good news for our church, our communities, our homes, and ultimately, good news for you and me.
