The Political Season

Can you feel it in the air? ANGST! If you feel it, it is at least partially there because those seeking power have amped it up and are hoping to use that angst to their advantage. As we are a couple months away from the presidential election, you could say that we are in the thick of it, and whether you are a more Republican than Democrat, or more progressive than traditional, I would guess that you can feel the angst.

So how are we as followers of Christ to live and serve in such a climate of fear? How are to respond to those courting our vote? How are we to live into the hope of Jesus while interacting with this political season? As we start our fall series on “Jesus and Power,” I hope our conversations will energize us to reflect and build His Kingdom. Join us this Sunday as we dive in!
